This jumper is a loose mesh jumper with a cute star in the middle, perfect for layering or for slightly warmer weather. This jumper is suitable for beginner-intermediate crocheters. This pattern is made-to-fit, so can be made in any size, with any yarn. This pattern will take you around 18-22 hours to do.
Materials
- 4mm hook
- 200-350g double knit yarn (see below)
- (Optionally) 30-40g of a secondary colour of double knit yarn
- Scissors
- A needle
- Measuring tape
Recommended yarn
You can use cotton, a cotton blend, or acrylic. The cotton produces a better drape, and the acrylic is a bit more structured. I recommend a double knit weight. You can either use 1 colour, or have a secondary accent colour for the star and the single crochet seam. Here are some yarns my pattern testers and I have used for this pattern.

Patons 100% cotton DK
Construction guide
We will create 2 bottom up panels, starting with the ribbing, then building the mesh rows. We will then seam either side of the collar together, add the star and build up sleeves, attaching the sleeve to the body of the jumper as we create each row. Then we will seam together either side of the jumper and sew in ends to finish.
